We handle personal data in line with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. The Privacy Policy covers what we collect and why. This covers how we look after it.
Keeping it to a minimum
The entry form asks for seven things and none of them are optional extras we might find useful later. If we do not need it to run the tournament, we do not ask for it. That is the simplest protection there is.
Who can get at it
Entries are read by the people running the Ultimate Padel Series and nobody else. They are not shared with sponsors or partners, and they are not sold. Where a service handles data for us, listed in the Privacy Policy, it does so on our instructions only.
How it is protected
The site is served over HTTPS, so your entry is encrypted in transit. Entries are held behind an account we control, and payment is handled entirely on our payment provider’s systems, so no card details exist anywhere in our records.
How long it stays
Entry details are deleted 12 months after the tournament. Financial records are kept for six years because tax rules require it. Nothing is kept indefinitely just in case.
If something goes wrong
If personal data is lost or exposed and there is a risk to the people involved, we will report it to the Information Commissioner’s Office within 72 hours of becoming aware, and tell those affected directly where the risk to them is high.
Children
Ultimate Padel Series tournaments are for adults, and the entry form is not intended for under 18s. If you believe a child has given us their details, email us and we will remove them.
