We only collect what we need to register your pair, take your payment and contact you about the day. This explains what that is, who sees it, and what you can ask us to do with it.
Who we are
The Ultimate Padel Series runs padel tournaments in Manchester and is the data controller for the information described here. Reach us at sufisaleem@hotmail.com.
What we collect
When you enter, the form asks for your team name, both players’ names, a link to each player’s Playtomic profile, a mobile number, an email address, your combined Playtomic rating, and anything you choose to add in the notes field. That is all of it. We do not ask for anything else, and there is nothing hidden in the form.
The Playtomic links are optional, and we use them only to check that a pair’s rating matches how they actually play, so the draw stays fair.
We never see your card details. Payment is taken on our payment provider’s own checkout, so your card information goes to them and never touches this site.
Why we hold it, and on what basis
- To run the tournament you entered. Confirming your place, seeding the draw, and contacting you about timings or changes. The basis is our contract with you.
- To keep our own records. Knowing who played and what was paid, which we need for accounts. The basis is our legitimate interests, and our legal obligation to keep financial records.
- To tell you about future dates, only if you have asked us to. The basis is your consent, and you can withdraw it at any time by replying to any message or emailing us.
Who else sees it
We do not sell your details, and we do not pass them to sponsors or partners. A small number of services handle data on our behalf so the site can work at all:
- Our hosting provider serves this site and receives your entry when you submit the form.
- Our payment provider takes the payment and holds the card details we never see.
Nothing else is loaded from anywhere else. The typeface this site uses is served from this site rather than from a font network, there is no embedded map, and there is no analytics or tracking of any kind. Opening a page here does not tell any third party that you did.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies of its own and has no analytics or tracking on it, which is why you have not been asked to accept anything.
How long we keep it
Entry details are kept for 12 months after the tournament, so we can deal with any query about the day. Records we need for accounts are kept for six years, as tax rules require. After that it is deleted.
What you can ask for
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to us using it. Email sufisaleem@hotmail.com and we will respond within one month.
If you are not happy with how we have handled it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk. We would rather you came to us first so we can put it right.
